First Haul of the Year Despite my habit of letting the weekly haul go untouched until the following week, I somehow escaped the shadow of Mount Unread before reaching the first Wednesday of the year. Today, I enjoyed a fresh start when I stopped by my comic book shop after work to collect the contents of Box 218. I love my comic book shop. Comics and trades line the walls, though you can find board games, Funko Pops, and trading cards in equal measure. The man who owns the store greets me by name. The women behind the counter are always friendly and ready to help — by which I mean they are more than happy to talk me into buying the first trade of any series I mention having not read yet.
